 Copyright is the ability to claim your work. Whether that be artistic, visual, a movie, musical, literary, and it includes the ability to allow or disallow others from utilizing that material. Copyright is the right you have to distribute your work how you see fit. Fair use is a way around copyright. Sometimes someone may refuse to let anyone use their work, but it is a useful example to teach others. Fair use allows you to use their work for educational purposes or a small amount of their work. This protects your ability to comment on their work and it protects their ability to distribute their work how they see fit. The two biggest concerns I have with using technology in the class room is academic dishonesty and reduced productivity. Students have found ways to cheat in physical classrooms for years, and in person it is much harder to cheat.  Hello, during my time in K-12 we used a lot of technology. My school was very big on integrating technology into most classes and there were many cases where I used Microsoft Office programs. I used Microsoft Word for almost all of my assignments before high school, but in high school we used a lot of Google Docs. The amount I have used Google Docs lead me to have a strong preference for Google Docs. It is simpler and I know it like the back of my hand. Using Word now feels very daunting. Of all the ISTE Standards for Educators, the one that means the most to me is being an analyst. I want to show my students data so they know why certain skills will help them. I want to back up my claims with data so they see that their teachers are not making things up, but are using data to make decisions that are in the student's best interest.  Hello, my name is Eric. I am from a small town in Florida and I am majoring in English Education. In my free time I enjoy playing games, learning how to play Chess, and reading. Most of my time outside of my classwork is spent doing one of those things. Recently I started reading the Inheritance Cycle and it has been a blast to read. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy. I have used technology a lot in my educational career. Starting in high school, my school provided every student with a Chromebook to use for their schoolwork. I used this Chromebook all through high school and I still use it for my college work today. Also during my high school career, I became certified in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
