 I looked at a teacher website from FSU Schools. This site had an "About The Teacher" page, it contained course information, and had sections for both math and science. The curriculum for the class was public and this information gave a brief overview about the work that the students would be doing. I think it is really important for parents to be able to easily access this information. The About The Teacher was also a very common and useful page. This often times talks about the credentials of the teacher and this helps both the student and teacher familiarize themselves with the teacher before meeting them. These are both elements that I would like to include on my own personal website.

In the future, I see technology being a very large part of my day to day life. Technology is a very powerful tool, especially in the classroom. I hope to take advantage of tools like Google Calendars, a to-do list app, and possibly some other organizational tools to keep myself on track. Keeping myself organized will make setting up for class easier and it will help me be much more efficient. It will also make presenting information to students in the most effective ways possible. FocusMe is an app I hope to take advantage of as a teacher and in the classroom. This is an extension that blocks other distracting apps while you work on a task. This will help me and my students deliver higher quality work.

Using PBWorks to create a wiki was an interesting experience. I think that a wiki is a very useful tool for students to have access to, especially as a starting point. However, I don't think I will ever use PBWorks to create a wiki. There are many quality of life features that other website creators offer and I hop to take advantage of those sites in the future. This assignment really opened my eyes to the usefulness of wikis.

 As a distance learner, I have found something to love and hate about learning at a distance. I would say I find it awesome to be able to do everything from home. I am always comfortable and in my element. Aside from that, learning online is not my thing. I find it much harder to learn anything useful over the internet. The instruction feels far less meaningful and impactful. I find it harder to stay focused because everything feels much less important. When I am teaching, I hope to engage my classes more fully. I want to do more group discussions with assignments that really make them think.  So far my experience with Diigo has been mostly positive. It all works well and I haven't had any technical problems. I like being able to save and share bookmarks easily, and it is cool to see all of the sites my class mates have found. I struggle to think of ways I can use this in my day to day life. I think I may use this tool in the future to share resources with my co-workers. It has been a neat tool to mess with, but I am not sure if I will find a practical application for this. I enjoy blogging more than I thought I would. Normally, I find activities like this to be cumbersome and I write them off. However, since I started my education degree, I have found these assignments to be much more engaging and helpful. They help me to reflect on the value of a tool, my own thoughts, and even my educational philosophies.
