As a distance learner, I have found something to love and hate about learning at a distance. I would say I find it awesome to be able to do everything from home. I am always comfortable and in my element. Aside from that, learning online is not my thing. I find it much harder to learn anything useful over the internet. The instruction feels far less meaningful and impactful. I find it harder to stay focused because everything feels much less important. When I am teaching, I hope to engage my classes more fully. I want to do more group discussions with assignments that really make them think. Just provide more engaging activities overall.

Open educational resources are resources that are available online, for free. These resources were designed with the intention of being used by others for free. These resources are most commonly found online. Ck12 is a site that contains many free resources for STEM classes. This is a great for STEM teachers to find lesson videos, study guides, and resources to teach their students, but it is also great for students who are interested in STEM. They may not be in a district that offers these classes, and they can look at this material to further their own knowledge.

I have learned a lot about how to use PowerPoint, and how to balance design and functionality. None of my presentations have looked particularly good, but they have been very functional. I am much more confident in designing a presentation that looks good and has plenty of functionality. I do not like how clunky PowerPoint feels. Sometimes it is very cumbersome
to accomplish a very simple task and that makes it feel like it takes ages to finish.
