I really enjoyed the Website assignment. I learned a lot about how to use these website design sites and how to make them look nice. I found a use for pictures and designs I had made earlier in the semester. It gave me a very good idea of how I would design a website if I ever need to make one to use as a teacher. I think a website will be a great way to communicate with teachers and students in the future and I will definitely implement some type of website in the future. Here is a link to the website I created.

Diigo is an interesting tool. I have learned more skill relating to find good, reliable information online. Diigo is a simple tool to use, but learning how to use the extension to annotate and create stick notes was very helpful. Personally, I don't see myself ever using Diigo again. I am not very fond of it, but I may have my students use it to create study groups. They can share links and useful resources with each other.

Education Week is a great place to stay up to date on technological innovation. This site covers a lot of education related news and opportunities. It not only talks about technology and ways to develop your career, but it may also cover different events a teacher may be interested in. I think this is a great site that has covers a ton of information due to the nature of this assignment. I will be checking this site daily, likely for years to come.

  1. Hello Eric, I really enjoyed looking over your blog. In terms of the CRAP principles, I think you did a great job. For contrast, you went with a typical black and white, which made it super easy to read! For repetition, you had your fonts uniform and you kept everything to the point, so it wasn't distracting! For alignment, I didn't catch anything out of line, you had straight lines everywhere! Last but not least for proximity, you grouped your information under its correct headings and it made it veery easy to get around. Overall, great website and I loved the simple design!

  3. Hi Eric, I think you did a great job on your website. I think you kept the color scheme and information easy to read and organized to follow. It seemed a little "bland" and didn't seem very pleasing in some aspects but for 11th graders I don't personally believe it would have much affect on them. I think you kept the alignment and everything very simple so it didn't create any distractions. Well done!
